Some thoughts

Hi guys!

-

For some of you, it’s dead week. (Holla APU!)

-

For some of you, it’s finals week.

-

For some of you, it’s just a normal week.

-

-

Regardless, I appreciate you taking the time to check out my tumblr/procrastinate!

I know you had a lot of other ways to avoid doing your homework, so really, thanks.  It means a lot.

-

-

Anyways, I have some random thoughts that occurred to me this week that I thought I’d share with you guys.  Most of them aren’t really related.

-

-

First, Jack in the Box peach iced tea is scientifically proven to be the most delicious, cost-effective beverage in the world.  I’ve had 3 today.  Go get one.  It’ll make you happy.

-

-

Second, it’s been cold lately.  I’ve noticed a lot of people have opted for hats, most likely to keep their heads warm.

-

-

Can I just say that I think those knitted hats that women wear are really attractive?  They’re like beanies.. but… they have holes?  They look like they’re made of yarn?  They’re kinda… loose fitting?  Floppy?

-

-

I’m not really doing them justice by describing them.

-

-

Here.

-

-

See what I mean?

-

-

Oh… I have absolutely no idea who the girl is.  She’s really pretty though.  I just googled “floppy, loose fitting, women’s knitted beanie hat with holes made of yarn” and those were the first 3 pictures that came up. (It’s so odd that they all came from one person’s twitter account!)

-

-

Huh? Of course she’s wearing a hat in the third one!

-

-

Oh… guess not.  Well regardless, GIRL LOOKS GOOOOD! AMIRIGHT?!

-

-

*hand up, waiting for high five*

-

-

-

-

-

-

*still waiting*

-

-

-

hm.  Well I guess I should thank you guys for not encouraging my creepiness.

Next thought:

-

-

Something that’s helped motivate me to do homework was a study done by some professor at Stanford.  He studied the ability of children to abstain from eating a marshmallow if they were promised another one if they waited for a little while.

Most of the children didn’t wait.

-

-

Anyways, the point of the study was to analyze the correlation between children’s will power and their performance in school.

-

-

Of course, kids with stronger will power were more able to focus and were overall more disciplined.

-

-

Now, whenever I think about procrastinating, I picture silly children in a room with a marshmallow, unable to withstand the temptation that the spongy jet puffed confections offer.

-

And then I realize that somewhere, scientists are laughing at our generation’s inability to focus and be disciplined.

-

-

(there was no google image for this.)

-

-

-

Thus, if you’re as intelligent as you think you are, prove it.

-

-

Beat the 4 year old.  (please don’t take this statement out of context.)

-

-

Stop playing on the internet, and go get yourself that second marshmallow.
